It seems just like yesterday that he was born. Anyway he is now 18 and had his matric dance on Saturday. he Four Musketeers got togther prior to the dance at the Cape Manor Hotel in Seapoint kindly arranged for the boys by Robin's father, Richard. The parents, boys and girls all got together for some drinks and snacks prior to the depature to the dance. We had rented a stretch limo for them. Then then went to the ance at about 1830hrs. After the dance was the after party in Woodstock. They stayed until about 0400hrs in the moring and returned to the hotel. The also seemed to have had a complete blast.

Billi Boy in Sodwana Bay and ander plekkies.....

Well the Government decided to give the country the 2nd May off as a holiday as well. Considering the 28th April and 1st May also holidays it was a no brain er to say "hissshhh if I take 2 days holiday I get 10 days straight". So I went to work in the Richards Bay office for the week before, so I drove from CT to Richards Bay. After working for the week could not resist nipping up to paradise on earth Sodwana Bay. I must say that I was blessed with the best diving EVER. The conditions remained excellent for ALL 6 days I was diving. It was really great. Here are some of the fishes and other things seen and done.

My favourite picture of the week. A school of Big Eyes.

The big daddy of them all. A dangerous Titan Trigger Fish.

Nemo.

Beautiful corals and fishes under da sea.

Guinifowl Moray Eel.

Conditions were so good I as able to get up really close to the Ray and it did not move.

My 2nd favourite picture. This is a scene at about 20m on 7 mile north wall. For the aficionados I can promise you this must rate as the very best dive site in the whole wide world. It is truly magnificent.

A Pipe Fish at 7 mile.

A lovely pic of a school of Yellow Banded Snappers.

Juvenile Box Fish.

Great shot of a tomato rock cod.

Shitty picture but just to record that I DID swim with a whale shark.

Beautiful but deadly. A Lion Fish.

A monster Potato Bass. He must have been about 1.5m long?

Honeycomb Moray Eel.

Interesting with this picture is that at 22m you should not see red. Yet the anemone of this two bar clown fish was red.

Again crappy picture. But we did have the company of two White Tip Reef Sharks.

Jack Nicholson on the beach at Sordies. Aka Brad, aka Bill .........

Jack and Jill.

During our stay we nipped up to Mkuze Game Reserve. It is really lovely and pity we miss judged the time. We ended up with only about a hour and a half in the park which is not enough. Next time we will arrange it a bit better.

A really good looking male Impala with his little "hareem".

We saw plenty of hippos. I must say we got just a little edgy as it was getting to dusk an you could see them making a bee line for the shore to go for munchies. Promise you do not want to get in the way of one of these brutes and the feeding trough.

Two spotted nemos...

And the pink lady herself. A pink Paper Fish.

Is this not how you would imagine the devil himself?

Another of my very favourites. This is a juvenile Emperor Angel Fish with a Tomato Rock Cod. The interesting thing is underwater the Rock Cod actually looks brown. It is only when you shine your torch or flask on them that you can see the true colour.

.

My favourite girl in the world. My niece Gabrielle Samuel.

The three sisters. Marie Anne, Sonia and Bridgette with Timothy.

The Fish Palace in Port Elizabeth. We were the first to claim squatting rights.

With our best friends in the world. Lyn, Bernard, Neville, Marie Anne and Jack.

On the way home we popped in to see our baby dauta Stephanie. She had arranged this magnificent teddy bears picnic for us. The made all these cakes and others delicious things.

Da Hall familia in Plett. Marie Anne, Steph and Bill.
